
Katsina Emir appoints replacement of Late chief Imam of Central mosque
The Emir of Katsina Emirate His Royal Highness Alhaji Abdulmuminu Kabir Usman has approved the appointment of Malam Gambo Muhammad popularly known as RATIBI as the new chief Imam of the Katsina central mosque.
This is contained in a press statement issued by the Emirate’s Sarkin Labarai Alhaji Ibrahim Bindawa and seen by katsinapost.com reporter.
It could be recalled that the Chief Imam of Katsina, Sheikh Muhammad Lawal has passed away at the age of ninety-six and has since been buried according to Islamic rites.
He died after a prolonged illness and is survived by four wives and twenty-six children.
The late nanogenerian had served as Chief Imam of Katsina for forty-one years having been appointed by a former Emir of Katsina, Late Sir Usman Nagogo in nineteen seventy-seven.
