Governor Masari commissions Police out post donated by philanthropist in Rimi
The Katsina state Governor, Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari has again assured that the state government would continue to ensure the provision of security for lives and property in the state.
Alhaji Aminu Masari was speaking during the commissioning of a police outpost at kadandani in Rimi local government area.
Alhaji Aminu Masari explained that the purpose of governance as enshrined in the constitution was not only to provide security but to ensure maintenance of law and order.
He commended the managing director of continental computers, Alhaji Salisu Mamman for constructing of the police outpost.
The Governor explained that the outpost was not the only community initiated project by the donor, adding that the maintenance of the structure now rest on the community.
To the police authorities, Governor Masari asked them not to post officers who would simply bully the people but to maintain law and order as stipulated by the law.
He charged wealthy people in the state to initiate and execute projects that would enhance the living condition of the people.
In a remark, the donor of the project, Alhaji Salisu Mamman kadandani told the gathering that the outpost is fully furnished and fitted with solar powered lights and VIP latrines.
Alhaji Salisu Kadandani said the outpost would compliment the effort of government and police authorities to help control crimes.
The state commissioner of police, Mohammed Wakil who was represented by the Deputy commissioner of police, Alhassan Mohammed expressed appreciation to the donor of the project.
He assured that the project would be utilized for the intended purpose.
There were goodwill messages from the kauran Katsina and District head of Rimi, Alhaji Nuhu Abdulkadir, the chairman of kadandani Area Development Association, Alhaji Sani Umar kadandani and the Director of Administration in Rimi local government, Alhaji Hussaini Rafindadi. The Governor later cut tape to officially commissioned the outpost and inspected the renovation and upgrading of kadandani jumma’at mosque as well as a drainage.
Kadandani Area Development Association -KADA presented a gift of a cow while Express motorcycle Riders Association presented the gift of a bag of millet, all in appreciation for the projects executed in the village by the Masari led administration.
