The Katsina state Governor, Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari has pledged to continue supporting the activities of the state office of Industrial Training Fund -ITF.
Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari was speaking when he received the Area Manager of the Fund in Katsina, Hajiya Hauwa A. Mohammed who paid him a courtesy call at government house, Katsina.
Alhaji Aminu Masari directed the Area manager to submit a proposal on the training of more civil servants in Katsina state for sponsorship.
He commended the Area office for contributing to the development of a vibrant civil service in the state.
The Governor assured that his doors would remain open for the management of the ITF to either lodge complain or offer advice on the way forward for civil service in the state.
Earlier, the Area manager of ITF in Katsina, Hajiya Hauwa Mohammed recalled that the Fund had been operating in Katsina within the context of Decree 47 of 1971 as amended in 2011ITF Act.
She said the Fund had positively contributed to the development of the state through its numerous activities of human capital and other intervention programmes.
Hajiya Hauwa Mohammed said the fund had trained over ten thousand employees in both public and private sectors in form of courses,seminars and workshops.
Last year, she said the fund under its research activities studied the small scale fertilizer blending companies scattered in Kankara, Dutsinma and Batsari.
She said the fund had identified their numerous challenges and have packaged a programme to assist in boosting their capacity, safety and enlightened them on ways to secure government assistance.
Hajiya Hauwa requested the governor to integrate ITF as an extension of government in providing training for the teeming public servants in the state.
