School of Health Technology Kankia inducts 40 Medical Laboratory Technicians

Fourty  newly qualified Graduants Medical Laboratory technician has been licensed by the Medical laboratory science council of Nigeria at school of health technology kankia, katsina state at the 6th Induction (Oath-taking) ceremony for the 2017/2018 session, Thursday 12th April  2018.

This is contained in a statement signed by ​Abubakar Ibraheeem Usman Funtua who is the registered Medical Laboratory Technician.

The event, which took place at the school Auditorium, with the theme: “Effect of Quake in  Medical Laboratory Science Practice”.

In her opening remarks, the HOD Medical laboratory science Hajia Binta lawal Bindawa  call  the Inductees to practice and operate with grace and candor, as true ambassadors of SHT kankia as well  as Medical  laboratory Science Council of Nigeria.

While welcoming the guests to the event, the HOD Medical Laboratory Appreciate medical laboratory science council of  Nigeria for support that they have given to the college that what make them travel from far and while to witness the occasion.

In his own remarks the Provost of the College who is highly represented by the Registrar bless the occasion and ask the Inductees to be good Ambassadors of the college and also  called on newly Qualified Medical laboratory Technicians to serve humanity so that humanity can serve them.

The Guest Lecturer Hamisu Mamman Dutsin – ma (Secretary AMELTAN Katsina state chapter) speaking on the topic “Effect of Quackery in  Medical Laboratory Science Practice”, emphasized that quackery practice in the field of medical laboratory science lead to death, he tell the Inductees that skill acquired is effectively used to serve humanity, challenging the newly Medical Laboratory technicians , not to stop reading, in order to keep abreast and understand developing theories and practices of the profession.

Highpoint of the event was the administration of oath and presentation of licence ( Work permit ) to the 40 Inductees by the CEO/Registrar Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria, Sir Tosan Erhabors.

Those who graced the occasion include  Provost COHESKAT, Director COHESKAT, School Director, Deputy School Director, SS Kankia Local Govt, Civil Defence Corps, District Head of Kankia , HODs of the other Departments, academic staffs and Non Academics staffs  of the college, some members and Officials of AMELTAN Katsina state chapter, Chairman AMLSN Katsina state chapter, Students, Parents and guardians.
