Katsina Assembly summons Daura Hospital renovation contractor over delay in project execution
Katsina State House of Assembly committee on Health will summon the contractor handling the project of the renovation and upgrading of Daura General Hospital.
This according to our source is to ascertain the reason for the delay and slow phase in the execution of the project.
The chairman of the committee on Health and the member representing Zango Local Government gave the order during an oversight visit to the hospital.
In a related story, Katsina State government under the leadership of Governor Aminu Bello Masari has earmarked fund for the construction of 150 housing units to be located near the Federal Medical Centre, Katsina.
The General Manager of the State Housing Authority, Alhaji Salisu Abubakar Daura who signed the contract on behalf of the State government said the houses when completed will reduce the Housing deficit in the State.
Alhaji Salisu also explained that the project comprises of 100 3-bedrooms and 50 2-bedroom apartments which will cost N13.7m and N11.4m each respectively.
