The members of Igbo society has appreciated governor Aminu Bello Masari’s gesture of appointing their son Prince Uche Okonkwo as Special assistant on Indigenous Nigerians living in the state.

The group made the appreciating during a courtesy visit to Governor Masari led by the special assistant to the governor on indigenous Nigerians, Prince Uche Ukonko at Muhammadu Buhari House in Katsina.

Prince Uche Okonko, The leader of the delegation said over 30-ethnic groups from the 36 state including FCT living in Katsina pledges their support to President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Aminu Bello Masari.

While speaking, Governor Aminu Bello Masari said the development of Nigeria depends largely on the contribution of indigenous Nigerians residing on palaces outside their states of origin.

According to Masari, Only through accommodation of indigenous Nigerians, states of the nation will progress politically and socially among the communities.

Masari said Katsina state has no segregation among people living in the state and urged them to feel at home.

He also urges them to participate fully in politics by voting the candidate of their choice for meaningful development in the state and country at large.

Masari, however, advised the group to always respect values and culture of people in order to leave harmoniously with them.
