The Family of the late philanthropist, Alhaji Sule Maiyawo has donated 1000 school uniform sets to Government Day Secondary School Kofar Yandaka Katsina.
Presenting the donation, Alhaji Saidu Sule Maiyawo said the gesture is to complement what their father did to the school during his lifetime.
Late Alhaji Sule Maiyawo was the first Parents and Teachers Association chairman of the school in 1977.
While speaking, The Katsina state commissioner of education, Dr. Badamasi Lawal Charanchi urged Wealthy individuals in the state to contribute toward the development of education sector in the state.
According to the commissioner, the burden of state government on education sectors are numerous hence the need for concerned healthy individuals to emulate the late Maiyawo’s family gesture.
In a remark, the principal of the school Alhaji Umar Gambo Saulawa explained that the principal said that the donations would assist the students of the school and increase enrollment.
In a vote of thanks, the PTA chairman of the school, Alhaji Muntari Sani Rafindadi said “The Maiyawo Family deserves all the commendation and urged other wealthy family to emulate them.
