About 26 trucks of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) otherwise called petrol, equivalent of 1.7m litres is expected in Katsina to further ease up the lingering fuel scarcity across the state, the state’s Chief Operation Controller, Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) Mohammed Sani Aminu has said.

Speaking shortly after sealing up two more petrol station in the metropolis for selling above controlled  price, Sani said the sufficiency level ofKatsina is 1.3m litres daily noting that what was being expected shall enhance more availability.

“Today we expect 26 truck which is more than what we have been getting so there will be enough of the commodity is coming in which is a manifestation of coordinated activity of stakeholders to ease up sufferings”, he said.

Hitherto we get between 17-20 trucks daily but with 26 coming in we expect the commodity to bemore available, he added.

He said, most of the diversion being experienced in Katsina are from inactive station noting that wehave all figured them out and have led to availability of the commodity.

Daily Trust reports that the two stations sealed are Preferred Global limited and a NNPC retail outlet both along Jibia road for discrepancies on price and under supply.
