Masari awards scholarship to indegines who excel at Quranic competition

The Katsina state government has awarded scholarship to the indegines that excel in various categories of the competition in the recently concluded 32nd National Qur’anic Competition in Katsina.

Governor Aminu Bello Masari made the statement yesterday while speaking at the closing ceremony of the competition held at Muhammadu Dikko stadium.

Masari said “Katsina state government will shoulder the responsibility of sponsoring University education of all the winners from the state that won in The various categories of the competition”.

The governor however reiterate the commitments of his administration in supporting Islamic activities in the state noting that the majority of people in the state are Muslims.

In his remarks, the Vice Chancellor, Usmanu Danfodio University, Sokoto, the organizers of the competition, Prof. Abdullahi Zuru, commended the Katsina State Government for hosting the hitch-free competition.

Zuru said that the competition recorded an increase of 2.7 per cent o0in states participation when compared to 2017.
