The Katsina state governor, Aminu Bello Masari has today commissioned mini Kilishi production company in Kayauki village of Batagarawa local government area.
The company was established by an NGO named “Kayauki Kilishi Batagarawa Multipurpose Cooperative Society’ in collaboration with Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN).
While speaking, Governor Masari urged youths in the state to acquire skills in various enterprises in order to attain self-empowerment to compliment government in a bid to curb unemployment in the state.
Masari noted, “The era of relying on white collar jobs is over, youths required skills to survive in the society in edict to curb the menace of unemployment,” He said
Earlier, the Director General SMEDAN, Dr. Dikko Umar Radda stated the establishment of the company is part of the efforts made by the agency in supporting business activities in the country.
The highlight of the event include; provision of soft loans to some Kilishi business owners by Gobarau Micro Finance Bank subsidized by SMEDAN.
