Katsina state intending pilgrims for this year’s Hajj have been told to strictly mind their business while in Holy land as Saudi Authorities have zero tolerance for any wrongdoings, Daily Trust reports.

Speaking at a one day retreat for the pilgrims, Dr. Aliyu Tanko of the National Hajj Commission NAHCON said there are several people languishing in prisons for doing things unknowingly but ended up in custody.

According to him, only last year a pilgrim was spotted picking a lost item on the floor of the Haram and was picked up by CCTV cameras and locked up saying that what was expected of you to do was to call or draw the attention of police and security officers on ground to it than to pick it up’.

He said, even the year before a similar incidence had happened and the pilgrim was jailed adding that do not pick up things knowingly or otherwise.

He advise pilgrims to move in groups so that theycan be easily spotted and located adding that NAHCON is committed towards ensuring a successful Hajj exercise.
