The Katsina state government has yesterday assured its readiness to partner with Npower agro participants in proving agro extension services to farmers across the state.
The special adviser to the state governor on economic empowerment,  Abdulkadir Nasir made the disclosure when he receives the delegation of Npower agro cooperatives society led by the chairman Comrade Aliyu Ibrahim in his office.
Abdulkadir Nasir said agricultural extension service requires proper attention hence the need for the government to engage more service providers in the state.
He described Agric extension services as a stepping-stone in reviving the economy and achieving food security by any developed nation.
The special adviser also unveiled plans by the government to train the members on entrepreneurship, skills acquisition, and self-reliance for maximum employability.
He described Npower as the leading social intervention programme in the country with the aim of engaging youths to help in improving the nation’s economy.
He, however, urged the members to partners government in reviving agriculture from grassroots which according to him is the key priority of the current administration.
While speaking, the chairman of the Npower agro cooperative society Katsina, Comrade Aliyu Ibrahim described the visit as yielding.
He thanked the state government for the assistance rendered to them, adequate supports and cooperation throughout the inception of the programme.
Earlier, the spokesman of the participants, Saddiq Mustapha Bindawa noted some of the rendered support to the members which include series of workshop training, farmland allocation, equipment provision and accessibility amongst others.
