The Katsina state Governor, Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari says he was happy with the cream of people continuously joining the All Progressive Congress – APC in Katsina State and that he is sure he will double the number of votes he got during the 2015 in the coming 2019 general elections. 

Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari was speaking when he received a former chairman of Rimi Local council and a former General Manager of Katsina state Transport Authority- KSTA, Alhaji Gambo Abdulkadir Rimi who decamped to APC from PDP at Government House council Chamber, Katsina earlier last month.

The Governor said the move had motivated him to do even more for the people to have dividends of democracy at their doorsteps.

Alhaji Aminu Masari assured that the party will continuously welcome new members, adding that as the symbol of APC of broom signifies, members would be united and treated justly.

He reminded politicians in Katsina state that they have no any other place of abode than the state, adding that there was need for them to join hands in building a virile society for the wellbeing of people.

As a government of people, Governor Masari said he hoped to live a legacy of service to the people for the younger generations to emulate.

He assured the decampees that the doors of his administration will remain open for suggestions on the way forward in the state.

With the decamping of Alhaji Gambo Rimi, the Governor expressed the hope that votes recorded for APC in 2015 in Rimi will multiply in subsequent elections in the area.

Earlier, the decampee, Alhaji Gambo Abdulkadir Rimi who is also Magatakarda of Rimi said he had decamped with all the councillors who served together with him .

Alhaji Gambo Rimi reminded the Governor that they were in the same political party- UNCP in the past.

He said he was accompanied by the APC leadership in their ward in Rimi town.

Alhaji Gambo Rimi expressed optimism that he and his followers will be treated justly by the Governor and the APC leadership in the state.

Also speaking, the vice chairman of APC in Funtua Zone, Alhaji Bala Abubakar Musawa assured the decampees that they should feel at home in the party.
