Couple of months after the Students’ Representative Council (S.R.C), UMYUK chapter and the management of Umar Musa Yar’adua university Katsina donated sum of 550,000 Naira to Halima Shehu Musawa, Katsina state government has also directed the release of 3,000,000 Naira for her surgery.
This was made known to our correspondent through a Facebook post on the timeline of one of her relative Muhammad Amin Kabir on 23rd, February, 2018.
“With great pleasure and delight to inform you that, his excellency, the executive governor of Katsina state Rt. Hon Aminu Bello Masari has directed the release of 3,000,000 to Halima.” He wrote.
According to the report, Halima Shehu Musawa bursted to tears of happiness when the news broke out and also thanked the government towards its effort in saving humanity across the state.
The total sum of money in Musawa’s account before the government gesture is 1,534,182.55 Naira. Now with the additional 3,000,000 Naira donated to her by the state government is 4,534,182.55 Naira. She now need additional balance of 1,465,817.45 Naira for her to get the surgery.
The family of the patient also thanked the general public for their immense contributions both financially and spiritually towards easing her suffering. “We are still appealing to the general public to assist Halima more, we can do it, may Almighty Allah reward you.”
It could be recalled that Halima Shehu Musawa is a graduate of political science from Umar Musa Yar’adua university who is suffering from turbarculosis of the spine that required sum of 6,000,000 Naira for the surgery abroad.
