Serious Crisis rocks Funtua Students’ Association, President suspended

Funtua Students’ Association (FUNSA), Umaru Musa Yar’adua University, Katsina Chapter announced the suspension of it’s President, Comr. Abubakar Mas’ud Liman over ”looting’ of the union’s funds  and ”negligence” of other executive members.
The decision to suspend the embattled President was reached at the executive’s meeting held at Shehu Primary School Funtua on the 22nd of February, 2018 and signed by majority of the executive members who passed a vote of no confidence on the president.

The President was suspended over; looting of union’s funds, negligence of other executive members, serving his interest at the expense of the executives and using insulting language on the Excos among others.

Also affected by the suspension was the Organizing Secretary, Ibrahim Abubakar Faro for conniving with the President in his misdeeds.

When contacted to comment on the issue, the Secretary General of the association,  Kabir Umar Umar said ”the issue is now resolved after we held a reconciliatory meeting”.
