Tiger nuts are a popular snack in West Africa, where they are known Dyula, Aya, Hausa Groundnut, Ofio, Keegun, Isip Osong, or Aki Awusa in Nigeria. It is usually eaten fresh and sometimes dried and later rehydrated and eaten.
