People in Katsina have expressed divergent views over the sales of the S-power forms at N150 which commenced yesterday across the 34 local government in the state.
S-power programme was recently introduced to engage 5000 unemployed graduates as classroom teachers by Masari’s led-administration to address the shortage of teachers in schools.
A source in Katsina Local government authority (LEA) has revealed that the forms have been securely possessed by politicians making it inaccessible for the common man.
Katsina post has been monitoring the reaction of the affected graduates since the sales of the s-forms begins yesterday. While some are optimistic that the programme will genuinely hold, others expressed doubtfulness on the authenticity of the programme.
One Muhammad Mustapha in Katsina said, he want to LEA to purchase the form but the officials told him that all the forms were sold out since 6:00 am in the morning.
Saifullahi Yaradua from Dutsinma said, “There was selfishness in the selling process in Dutsin-ma”.
Abba Masoyin Gaskia took to his Facebook to write “ S-power programme is just a means of extorting money from unemployed graduates. Therefore, we will not purchase the forms”
In Musawa L.G, Muhammad Suraj said “Alhamdullillah the forms were sold out in accordance manner. We thank the officials!
People of Sandamu has also rejoiced the process because one Habeeb Hayaat stated that the Education Secretary in the area used attendance to sold out the forms. It went smoothly.
A source in Batsari L.G said the honorable member representing the area purchased all the forms and distributed it to his supporters.
Alhussain Nasser of Malumfashi revealed that “The forms were sold out to those who come early morning at the rate of N150. But things fall apart in the evening when the officials announced that the forms were not available anymore.
Ali Elder said “You cannot get the form here in Funtua unless you know someone among the officials.
