
Protest erupts over caretaker appointment in Batsari
Report reaching us at Katsina post has it that protest has erupted in Batsari Local government area.
Our source revealed that the violence erupted following the appointment of Mannir Mu’azu Ruma by Governor Aminu Bello Masari as the caretaker of the area.
The protesters were sighted burning tires, woods on the streets chanting in Hausa language “Bama so” meaning we don’t want.
Another source told our correspondent that even though the appointment is still unofficial but a report indicates that Governor Masari has yesterday resolved to appoint Mannir Mu’azu as the chairman while Alhaji Jabiru Kalla as Vice-chairman.
Both the party excos and the chairmen of APC in the area were reportedly stormed Katsina house of assembly today to protest against the appointment.
