The Katsina State Government says it is showcasing its agricultural potentials to the world in faraway United States of America (USA) at the 2018 World Aric-Expo.
A statement by the spokesman to the state deputy governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Kallah said the state’s delegation, KTSG Team, is led by Alhaji Mannir Yakubu, who is the deputy governor.
The World Agri-Expo, taking place in Tulare, CA, USA is a gathering of stakeholders from across nations to rub minds on agriculture-related matters.
According to the statement, “The mission of the Team is in furtherance of the philosophy of the State administration’s Agricultural Restoration Agenda aimed at revitalizing agriculture to meet the challenges of a growing and dynamic society of today.”
The statement added that, “It is recognised by the present State administration that traditional means of conducting agriculture will no longer suffice, hence the need to open all possible frontiers and within a short span of time, lay the foundation that will serve as the springboard of agricultural revolution in Katsina State.
“Therefore participating in World Agri-Expo at USA by KTSG Team is setting a benchmark for a lofty dream to meet the best the world can offer and give the State the impetus to rise and identify partners and knowledge in the sector of great helpful import.
“The Expo and the concurrent educating seminars are also veritable avenues to sell the State’s potentials in the sector to the world’s main stakeholders in agriculture,” the statement added.
It also said the Katsina team is “already robustly discussing and sharing experiences, and that “The World Agri-Expo truly answers its name – latest technologies and machinery, services and next steps are all on display.”
The statement concluded that one cannot be at the event “without having your frame of mind positively remoulded. It is indeed a rewarding experience!”
