No doubt Katsina as a State has arguably experienced a rapid development more than any other State of the Federation in this political dispensation ranging from 1999 to now.

This is ofcause directly linked by analysts to the solid foundation laid and visionary leadership provided by the Late Governor of the State, Alhaji Ummaru Musa ‘Yar’adua during his tenure from 1999 to 2007.

However, as every government anywhere in the world, there are always some important personalities the head of the government draws closer and get them involve in almost all the bigger and in most cases – most important and sometimes difficult jobs he or she want to execute.

The story of Architect Ahmad Aminu ‘Yar’adua is in no way different from the above as he rightly said – he has hand in almost all the infrastructural development in the State.

Architect ‘Yar’adua, being the first cousin of the Late Ummaru Musa said he had been with him since the early 1970s up to the time of his death.

He was Director Buildings in the Katsina State ministry of works for eight years before he was appointed as Permanent Secretary Ministry of Works during the Late Ummaru Musa ‘Yar’adua’s regime as Katsina State Governor.

During his time at the ministry of works, he supervised the construction of Ummaru Musa ‘Yar’adua University, Ummaru Musa ‘Yar’adua International Airport, Katsina State Secretariat and numerous road networks across the State.

He was said to be one of the people very close to the Late Governor – and later President ‘Yar’adua and he had delivered with distinctions even the most difficult job assigned to him then.
