The Katsina state Chairman of NCP and former gubernatorial candidate, Alhaji Abdulmumini Shehu Sani has called on the people of katsina to vote out Governor Aminu Bello Masari for what perceived as the administration’s failure to fulfill it’s campaign promises.
The call was made on Monday during a press conference organized by the party in Katsina as reported by leadership Hausa. The chairman, cited deception and lack of direction of the Masari led administration as reasons for the call.
Abdulmumini claimed that the Masari administration shows lack of commitment on the education sector where the government wasted about 8 billion Naira from 2016 to 2017.
According to him, Masari’s claim that his government renovated 30 secondary schools across the state at the cost of 4 billion Naira is far from the truth. He also alleged that, the state governor withdrew 50 million from the account of the 34 local councils amounting to 4.7 billion Naira in the name of security.
”Honestly speaking, the security situation in Katsina have deteriorated. There is nothing called security in the state. The increase in arm robbery, kidnappings and cases of stealing is even worth than before ” he said.
He further States that another issue to serve as a reason to send Masari packing is the deduction of 15 million from the 34 local government council making 510 Million on the order of the governor to finance Hajj operation which is under the federal government’s jurisdiction not state as such the withdrawal is unjustified.
” Based on the identified reasons, we are calling on the people of Katsina state to vote out Masari in the upcoming election and never allow him to ride on the popularity of President Muhammad Buhari again as Katsina benefited nothing put of it. This administration has done virtually nothing in almost three years since its inception”. Said the NCP Chairman.
