Masari takes UMYUK faculty of Agriculture to Karaduwa


The Katsina state Governor, Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari has announced that the faculty of Agriculture for UMYU will be established in Layin Minista in Malumfashi local government area.

Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari disclosed this during a courtesy call by Malumfashi community led by Galadiman Katsina, Justice Mamman Nasir at government house council chamber.

The Governor announced that the construction of structures such as hostels, open theatres and classrooms among others towards the takeoff of the Faculty will soon commence in earnest in layin Minista .

Alhaji Aminu Masari appealed to the leadership in Malumfashi to cooperate and support the actualisation of the Faculty of Agriculture for UMYU in their locality.

Turning to politicians from the area, Governor Masari appealed to them to forge a common front for the rapid socio economic development of the area.

The Galadiman Katsina and District Head of Malumfashi, Justice Mamman Nasir told the Governor that they were at government house to show support and appreciation for the laudable projects executed in Malumfashi and its environs by the APC led administration in the state.

Justice Mamman Nasir assured that they would continue to support the administration and offer meaningful advises for peace and tranquility to continue to reign supreme in the state.

Also speaking, the member representing Malumfashi- Kafur federal constituency in the house of representatives, Alhaji Babangida Ibrahim Mahuta dispel the rumours being peddled that he is not supporting the Governor Masari led administration in the state.

He assured that he would continue to support the Governor and his policies and programmes in the state.

The special Adviser to the Governor on KASEED , Alhaji Abdulkadir Mamman Nasir spoke at length on the projects so far executed by the Governor in Malumfashi.

Some of the projects, he said include rehabilitation and expansion of Mashigi dam that restored water supply in Malumfashi, the numerous schools rehabilitated, the construction of tarred roads among others.

He admonished politicians to support the Governor for peace and development in the area.

Also speaking, the former Provost of federal college of education, Katsina, Dr Magaji Aliyu Dansarai commended the Governor for Gora- Makaurachi road and the ongoing construction of Dayi- Na’alma- Tuge – Gundawa road.

He also showed appreciation for the schools rehabilitated in the 12 wards of the local government area.

Others who spoke at the occasion include the representatives of ulama and that of ECWA church in the area.
