The Katsina state Governor, Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari has assured thousands of Peoples Democratic Party-PDP members that decamped to All Progressive Congress-APC in Funtua local government will be fairly treated in their new party.
Alhaji Aminu Masari was addressing a mammoth crowd at the premises of Aya Primary school, Funtua , where a rally was held to receive PDP decampees led by Dankafin Katsina and former Agriculture commissioner in the previous administration, Alhaji Musa Adamu Funtua .
The Governor was pleased with the decision of the decampees to join APC for meaningful change and development to continue to be recorded in Funtua local government area.
He therefore requested them to contribute their quota towards building a virile political party in not only the state but the country at large.
The Governor assured that his doors and that of the APC leadership in Katsina State for them to have a sense of belonging.
The Dankafin Katsina, Alhaji Musa Adamu told the gathering that he and his followers decided to decamped to APC because of the leadership qualities exhibited by Governor Aminu Masari in the last two and a half years.
He said Projects that touched the lives of common man were executed by the Governor in Funtua local government area. Also speaking, the state APC chairman, Alhaji Shitu S. Shitu and the vice chairman of APC in Funtua zone, Alhaji Bala Abubakar Musawa all hail the decision of Dankafin Katsina and his supporters to move to APC from PDP, a decision, they say would not be regretted.
The decampees include a former chairman of the local government, Alhaji Abdu Isah, former councillors, executive officers of PDP at local government and ward levels among other supporters.
