No fewer than forty students have bagged first class degrees as Federal University Dutsinma, Katsina holds combined 2nd and 3rd convocation.

Speaking at a pre-convocation press conference, the Ag. Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Armayau Bichi said 17 of the first class category whom have completed their mandatory National Youth Service will be awarded with an automatic employment letters.

According to him, the remaining 23 will get theirs as soon as they complete the service year noting that ‘it is a policy of the university to offer automatic employment to First class students’.

He said, to boost teaching and learning about 250 academic staff and 200 non academic have been employed adding that over 250 others who were unjustifiable sacked by previous vice chancellor have been recalled.

He said, Due to local demand, courses in Hausa, Lirary science, Arabic and Islamic studies were introduce just as Engineering and Law degrees takes off next year.
