President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday met with six State Governors at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The Governors who met with the President include, Governor Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina state (APC), Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State (PDP), Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State (PDP), Simeon Lalong of Plateau State (APC), Abdulaziz Yari of Kebbi State (APC) and Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State (APC).
The meeting started shortly after security Chiefs finished their meeting with the President that lasted several hours.
Buhari’s Personal Assistant on New Media, Bashir Ahmad confirmed the meeting on his Twitter handle.
He wrote, “After presiding over a Security Meeting earlier, President @MBuhari is now holding a meeting with some members of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum (NGF) led by its Chairman, Gov. Abdulaziz Yari of Zamfara State.”
Recall that some Northern governors had recently endorsed Buhari for a second term after a meeting at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
