Katsina United will welcome seven-time NPFL champions Enyimba today in a matchday 3 fixture inside the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium in Katsina after they suffereda slim 1-0 loss to Sunshine Stars in Akure Wednesday.

Katsina United will be looking forward to secure their first win of the season after they played out a 2–2 draw with Kano Pillars at the same venue in the opening match of the season a week ago.

Enyimba, who were forced to a barren draw at their adopted home ground of U. J.  Esuene Stadium in Calabar on Sunday will visit Katsina United with the hopes of upsetting ‘The Chanji Boys’ at home in search of their first win of the season having drawn their first two games.

Coach Abdullahi Biffo told Katsina United ahead of this weekend’s crunch tie against ‘The People’s Elephant’ Katsina United will be positive despite the loss in Akure.

“We have put the mid-week loss to Sunshine Stars behind us and all we are thinking of now is the match against Enyimba. Sometimes football is cruel because we deserved to pick a point in Akure, but we ended up coming back home without anything.

“We have picked a big positive from that game which was the response of my players after they were a goal down – they responded well by scoring the equaliser.”

Former Katsina United skipper Nasiru Sani could play for Enyimba today.

He added that there will be no hiding place for Enyimba as his boys are fully ready to pick all the three points to mark his first three home points in charge of the team.

“Yes, we are fully ready for the game and wewill make sure that we secure the maximumpoints for our fans in appreciation their teeming support,” he said.

Team NewsThe mercurial midfielder of Katsina United Destiny Ashadi is in line to return to the squad after shaking off a minor knock picked against Pillars in the opening match of the season, which kept him out of the mid-week clash at Sunshine Stars.

Enyimba will be without five of their players who are currently with the local Super Eagles in Morocco at the on-going African Nations Championship – Ikechukwu Ezenwa, Austine Oladapo, Theophilus Afelokhai, Mustapha Ibrahim and Ikouwen Udoh.
