The former Katsina State governor, Ibrahim Shehu Shema, on Sunday, led chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party in the state to the palace of the Emir of Katsina, Alhaji Abdulmumuni Kabir Usman.
Sources said the former governor and his company were on a sympathy visit to the emir over the demise of the old Kaduna State senator, Alhaji Lawal Kaita, who passed away on Tuesday and was buried the next day.
Ex-governor and the other PDP chieftains in the state including the state PDP chairman, Salisu Majigiri, visit the Emir’s palace where they were joyfully received.
Neither the former governor nor any of the company conceded a press interview.
Party sources revealed that the former governor and his entourage had earlier in the day visited the Katsina residence of the late governor before visiting the emir’s palace.
