Late Lawal Kaita was born on Monday, the 4th of October, 1932. This means he died at 86 years old

2. He is a member Katsina royal family:

Late Alhaji Lawal Kaita is from the Katsina Royal Family. Lawal Kaita is a grandchild to Katsina’s Emir Dikko and a son to Late Kankiyan Katsina Muhammadu Sada – the District Head of Kankia.

3. Ruled Kaduna for just 3 months:

Late Lawal Kaita was elected on the National Party of Nigeria (NPN) platform as governor of Kaduna State, Nigeria, holding office between October and December 1983, when the Nigerian Second Republic ended with the coup that brought General Muhammadu Buhari to power.

4. Contested for Katsina Emirship with Late Kabir Usman:

Late Lawal Kaita contested for the emirship of Katsina in 1982 after the death of Emir Usman Nagogo but was defeated by Late Muhammadu Kabir Usman.

5. Founding father of ACN:

Late Lawal Kaita Kaita left the PDP to join others in forming the Action Congress (AC) party which later changed name to Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) in September 2006, the platform on which Vice President Atiku Abubakar launched his unsuccessful bid for the Presidency in 2007.
