The members of the Catholic charismatic society of saint martin’s church Katsina has presented school writing materials and food items to orphans at state’s owned orphanage in Katsina.
The coordinator of the church Jims Aja who led the delegation said the gesture was part of the Christmas gift to improve the well-being of orphans in the state.
He further stated that the gift was given annually to assist the orphans in the orphanage.
Commenting, the chairman Igbo communities in Katsina state, Prince Uche Okonko said is the responsibility of everyone irrespective of the religion to assist motherless babies.
According to him, showing love and affection to the babies will give them the courage of being part of the society.
Speaking shortly after receiving the items, the officer-in-charge of the orphanage Alhaji Abdullahi Bala Danmusa thank the members for the gesture.
