Governor Aminu Masari of Katsina State has portrayed the current defection of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar as a pointless activity.

Masari put forth the expression in a meeting with the newsmen in Maiadua, Katsina State on Monday.

He said the abandonment of the VP would not at all influence the electoral accomplishment of the ruling APC, focusing on Atiku had quite recently addressed his well-known name.

He said the APC was gone for repositioning the country by making pioneers that would champion the positive reason for the country and that “around 65 percent of our political arrangements were designated to the youths”.

Mr. Masari said the time of “do or die politics was over as individual character and his execution represent him in a political fighting, not pointless pride and show of riches.”

He said APC in the state and federal levels would not be deterred by elitist tendencies, adding that “we are set to receive more defectors into the party by next year as many influential members of the opposition would be joining us soon.”

He said his administration had, in the last two years, constructed many roads, schools, hospitals and intensified efforts on security in the state.

Mr. Masari was in Maiadua Local Government Area to receive the former speaker of the state, Yau GwajoGwajo, who defected to APC from the PDP.
