Appeal court had yesterday the 21st of December, 2017 ruled that the dissolution of duly elected councillors by APC led Governor Aminu Masari is legal.
The court held that the Governor acted on recommendation of the Katsina State house of assembly which had invited the Councillors and conducted thorough investigation on allegations of corruption labelled against them.
The court also held that a commission of inquiry was setup by the Governor which investigated the councillors and made appropriate recommendations.
Katsina State Councillors forum Chairman Hon Abubakar Ibrahim Yantaba maintained that at no time was any councillor invited by the Katsina State House of Assembly or any commission of inquiry.
Hon. Yantaba has expressed disappointment over the ruling and called on the PDP councillors to remain calm and law abiding and pledged to take appropriate legal action.
