The popular opposition figure, chieftain in the Katsina State’s Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and the state’s former gubernatorial candidate in the 2015 general elections Alhaji Umar Abdu Tsauri, popularly known as Tata has revealed the three only options before the state’s All Progressives Congress, APC if at all they will succeed in preventing PDP from clinching the Governor’s seat come 2019.

The philanthropist cum politician stated that  the state’s APC and Governor Masari have three available options to use against them which he stated to be either Planting moles in the party to create confusion and make unity impossible or Use money to buy their way to success or thirdly employ violence as the last option.

Alhaji Umar Tata made this assertion in a lengthy write up he posted on his Facebook social media page earlier today titled ‘By 12 Noon’.

Below is the post he made (unedited):

BY 12 NOON

You may wonder and want to ask what do I mean with the above phrase. It is a statement that I have heard countlessly from people, some I know and some I don’t, over a long period of time concerning the expected outcome of an outright contest between me and Aminu Masari. To those from whom I have heard this, to them Masari will be floored and dusted before noon on election day in so far I am the ticket holder of PDP.

I have no fear, God willing, over the ticket of PDP coming to me but my concern is over this untoward confidence that I find so eerily discomforting. Reason being that, at the Mashi/Dutsi bye election, we were almost winning until noon when Masari released his hordes of marauders on us. If the election had stopped by noon of that day, we would have won, but it didn’t and these thugs turned the table on us using every force available to them. What if this is replicated on election day, will we not have the same Mashi/Dutsi outcome? That is my fear!

Some of you may not agree with me but this is a genuine fear. I went to prison for Mashi/Dutsi and what I saw there confirmed this my fear. Few days to this bye election Masari paid a visit to the prison. What did he do? In a prison that was built to cater for 360 inmates but as at then harbouring 1376 inmates, Masari went there to pardon those criminal cattle rustlers that were condemned to death. Those were the people that he went for because he had the plan to use them for the bye election which he did. If he could do this for a bye election involving one constituency what do you think he will do for an election that involves him?

APC and Masari have three available options to use against us. Planting moles in the party to create confusion and make unity impossible. Use money to buy their way to success or thirdly employ violence as the last option. APC has been seeking for power under different names since the sacking of Balarabe Musa in 1981. To expect it to sheepishly lose power after just four years is being blind to reality.

Power they will lose by the grace of God but not by assuming that it will be done in an easy way, certainly not. It will be the toughest battle and God forbid the bloodiest that Katsina has ever seen, as to these people, power and 2019 are a matter of life and death!

Don’t be surprised if something happen to me before then for I am sure I am their enemy No.1 and nothing will be spared in containing me even if that will mean death!

May Allah see us through!
