Katsina State ministry of Justice has proposed N1.4bn for the coming 2018 fiscal year on capital projects according to the Honourable Commissioner Alhaji Barrister Ahmad El-Marzuq while depending the ministry’s budget before the state House of Assembly’s appropriation committee.
According to him, N100m is earmarked for the proposed site of the Anti-Corruption commission site. Similarly, another N100m is budgeted for the rehabilitation of the tribunal offices in Daura, Funtua and Malumfashi.
In his remarks, the Acting Chairman of the appropriation committee, Ibrahim Dikko commends the ministry’s internally generating revenue mechanism and also pledged the legislative support to the ministry in discharging its duties that includes the interpretations and enactment of laws.
In a related news, Katsina State Police command has succeeded in the arrest of three notorious syndicate that specialised in motorcycle theft in Katsina metropolis on the 30th of November, 2017 in the evening.
The State’s Commissioner of Police, CP Besen Gwana confirmed this while briefing newsmen shortly before parading them before our correspondent alongside other suspects arrested for criminal offences in the state on Wednesday.
