The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Katsina state command has revealed that there is 26% decrease in a number of people killed in the road accident in 2017.
The sector commander of the FRSC in the state Vincent Ingweku disclosed this in an interview with newsmen in Katsina.
According to him, there is also decrease in 5% in the number of road crashes recorded from January to date in the state.
He revealed that the number of people injured and involved in road crashes in the state has increased by 4.8% and 1.3% respectively.
He reiterated the command’s commitment in tackling offenses such as overloading, speeding and other related vices.
The commander also decries the defiance of overloading, passenger boot boarding which according to him FRSC collaborates with the relevant stakeholders to tackle the menace.
