The Katsina state Executive council has approved for the award of contracts for the execution of various projects worth over five point six billion naira (N5.6b) the state.
The commissioner of Works, Housing and Transport, Engineer Tasi’u Dandagoro disclosed this during a press briefing held at the end of the meeting presided over by Governor Aminu Bello Masari.
Engineer Tasi’u Dandagoro announced that the projects include Kankiya-Dangamau – Kusada road; upgrading and renovation of school of Health Technology, Kankiya; phase one and sub lot one of renovation and upgrading of Malumfashi General Hospital; the complete wall fencing of School of Remedial and Basic Studies, Funtua as well as upgrading of Funtua streetlights from solar to electric supply.
The commissioner noted that the projects include thirty nine rural feeder roads worth over two billion naira across the state.
He said the projects would improve the socio- economic wellbeing of the people in the state.
