The untold stories of State allowance under Masari Government – By Concerned Corp Members

The concerned corp members of Katsina state chapter wish to use this medium to draw the attention of the state government to the biase and unfaithful gesture suffered by the corp members serving in the state. Sometime around September, the first tranche of state allowance was paid since the beginning of the service year of 2016 Batch B stream 2 and to our surprise, only 50% of the total number of the serving members was catered for, thereby giving excuses of ommiting some names and in which after complaints was made, letters were asked to be submitted by the affected corp members but up till date, nothing what so ever has been done.

Many corp members suffered this same faith in which they were not paid anything at all through out their service year. Now the point is this, is this a deliberate act from the NYSC officials of the state to syphon corp members allowances? Or, is it the fault of the government?

We are lost in a limbo, if the NYSC officials couldn’t not live up to their responsibility, we see no reason why they should still be regarded as civil servants and if the government is incapacitated with funds, we see no reason why they should go about making promises they wouldn’t fulfill.

Let everyone live up to expectations and let’s be the change we want.

Signed:

Concerned Corp Members

Katsina State.
