The Ag. Vice Chancellor of the Federal University Dutsin-ma Professor Armayau Hamisu Bichi on behalf of the management of the university has signed a memorandum of understanding with University Dan-Dicko Dankoulodo, Maradi Niger Republic.
Professor Bichi said that the MOU signing is to enhance the exchange of manpower resources amongst both staff and students.
He also added that the relationship between Nigeria and Niger Republic was in existence since before the coming of colonial masters.
The FUDMA Acting Vice Chancellor recalled that the MOU was once initiated between the two varsities since year 2014 dwindled due to some factors and was re-initiated this years.
Speaking at the event, the Vice Chancellor, Dan-Dicko Dankoulodo University, Niger, Professor Zakari Moussa Ousmane expressed appreciation to the Ag. Vice Chancellor Federal University Dutsin-ma Professor Armayau Hamisu Bichi for re-initiating the collaboration.
Prof. Ousmane also commended the committee that came up with the agreement which comprise of Deans from the two universities headed by the Deputy Vice Chancellor Dan-Dicko Dankoulodo University, Professor Amadou Tidjani.
Highlights of the event was the signing of MOU and presentation of gifts by the heads of the two varsities and their registrars which was coordinated by the Director of Academic Planning Prof. Alexander Bem Adi.
