More than 18bn have been cleared for the installment of gratuities by Katsina state government since inception.
The head of service of the state Alhaji Garba Sanda mani expressed this at the opening session of a 2-day workshop on timing planing held at Bello Kofar Bai hall in Katsina secretariat complex.
He said the workshop was orgainized by the office of the head of service as a feature of duty by Katsina state government in a joint effort with Usman Danfodio University Sokoto (UDU) consultancy services to prepare workers going to retire from service over the state.
Prior, the acting permanent secretary department of establishment, preparing and benefits Alhaji Abubakar Bara’u stated, “The training workshop was designed to espouse participants on ways and means to intensively plan for the retirement, to have a good leaving and overcome fear after disengagement from service.
He equally commended the effort of Katsina state government and the collaborators for their commitment to actualize the training workshop.
