Katsina State PDP hinted that they will return the policy of free education if voted into power come 2019. This was promised by the State Chairman of the party Alhaji Yusuf Salisu Majigiri when he led other party chieftains and well wishers to opening of Funtua zonal office of the PDP along Bakori bye pass, in Funtua on Sunday.
Majigiri said that ”PDP as a party has no anointed candidate. From state House of Assembly to Federal House of Representatives, Senate, Governorship and the office of Deputy Governor we have no chosen candidate. We are going to allow the popular will of the People to prevail”. He further states that no aspirant will be given an upper hand ”If consensus could not be agreed upon, the party will go for the primary election to chose it’s flag bearers.”
Katsina Post also learnt that Majigiri further expresses optimism that PDP will return to power come 2019 as the change government has done nothing meaningful to deserve re-election. He also call on people to be ready with their PVC and promise that, if elected, PDP will bring back its policy of free education ” We are going to return Free education. We will also provide a bag of fertilizer for 1780 Naira as it was done during our administration, as against 5,500 Naira by the present change administration”
He said that PDP is going to field a Muslim from the north as its presidential candidate.
According to him, ”we are going to field a Muslim from the north as our presidential candidate. No one will call us infidels again.”
Other notable personalities who spoke in the event includes; Malam Halilu Yahaya Bakori; Former DG SMEDAN, Bature Umar Masari, Arch. Ahmed Aminu Yar’adua, Bar. Abdullahi Garba Faskari and Umar Abd Tata.
