Alhaji Aliyu Bala-Daura who serves as the Chairman of Association of Katsina State Indigenes In Sokoto, has urged the Katsina State Government under the leadership of Governor Aminu Bello Masari to look into the issue of Inland Dry Port sited in Funtua and ensure its implementation.
The Chairman also state that the completion of the project would help in harnessing the abundant economic potential of the state.
He also urged Gov enor Aminu Masari to create more jobs for the youth in agriculture and solid minerals sectors due to the vast opportunities in the areas.
The chairman commended Gov. Masari for his achievements in the state, describing them as “overwhelming and encouraging” in all sectors.
He said the 30th anniversary of the creation of the state was good as it had provided a forum to review the state’s achievements since 1987.
Bala-Daura noted that the proposed extension of rail lines to Katsina, through Daura, would uplift the living standard of the people.
