The factional group of All Progressives Congress, APC, in Katsina State, otherwise known as APC AKIDA, said yesterday that moneybags have hijacked the party in the state, saying it will soon reveal the names of the persons who hijacked the party.
The group’s Vice Chairman, Publicity Committee, Baba Dahe Kurfi, stated this in an exclusive interview with Vanguard.
Kurfi said the same persons, who are of the business community in the state and with Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, were now seemingly the elders or stakeholders of APC.
He said the government sidelined members of the party who laboured, risked their lives, businesses and time to build the party.
According to him, “we built a house and some people are now occupying the house. We took huge risk confronting PDP, putting everything on the line.
“Most of the people in the government of Katsina State as at today crossed over to APC in December 2014 when it was apparent that APC will form a government and after the emergence of Aminu Bello Masari as our candidate.
“If you go to the so-called APC stakeholders, meeting, those you will see in the forefront and at the high table are those who had no stake and who even voted for PDP.
If you go to the so-called APC stakeholders meeting, those you will see at the high table are prominent PDP members.”
“So if the government feels there are no capable hands in APC, those who laboured to build the party, they should have no voice?
More so, the worst thing is the government is not working for the people and has not delivered anything to the masses.”
