Masari pledges to execute all road projects promised during electioneering campaign


The Katsina state Governor, Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari has expressed the hope that the APC administration would execute all the road projects promised during electioneering campaign in the state.

Alhaji Aminu Masari was speaking during an inspection of Dayi- Tuge -Gundawa- Wawar kaza and Rimaye-Sukuntuni – Magam – Karaduwa roads now under construction in the state.

The Governor announced that he undertook the inspection to ensure that the contractors have fully reported to site of the road projects. He expressed the hope that the contractors would fulfill all the contractual obligations through ensuring quality work for the road to survive for a long time.

On Rimaye- karaduwa road, Governor Masari said the Chinese firm, which is in Katsina for the first time needed to justify the confidence so that they will remain in the state for the next one hundred years. On stream he inspected outside Rimaye, Governor Masari said he hoped to build a durable society, adding that a drift to be build to become an embarkment for dry season farming for self employment to youths.

He expressed appreciation for the timely movement of the contractors to the sites. The Governor had also inspected Mararabar Musawa- Kurkujan-Gingin – Tabanni to border with Kano state road project. The Governor while at Dayi- Wawar kaza road reiterated that quality work must not be toyed with in the execution of the road projects.

In all the places inspected, the state commissioner of works, housing and transport, Engineer Tasiu  Dahiru Dandagoro told the Governor that the contractors have promised to deliver good and qualitative projects. Later the Governor also inspected the near in completion of Gora- Makaurachi-Gamzago-Mallamawa road,where he was told by the commissioner of works that the contractors had pledged to complete it by November, this year.

Alhaji Aminu Masari also inspected mararrabar sayaya- Sayaya- Mazoji road project where he expressed reservation on the first bridge before Sayaya Village. The Governor directed the ministry of works to ensure that they prevent redirecting of the stream to washaway the culverts. The contractor told the Governor that the project would be completed by the end of the year.
