2017 Hajj: All Katsina Pilgrims Returns Home


The last batch of Katsina pilgrim’s participated in 2017 Hajj operation has arrived Ummaru Musa Yaradua International airport Katsina on Saturday.

The ninth flight with 566 pilgrims onboard consisting pilgrims from Danja, Katsina, Batsari, Musawa, Matazu, state pilgrim’s board officials and other government officials.

Addressing newsmen at arrival, the commissioner for religious affairs Alhaji Tanimu Audi Bindawa expressed gratitude to Almighty Alllah for the smooth conduct of the 2017 Hajj operation.

“All praise are Indeed due to Almighty Allah for the successful conduct of the operation. We depart in eighth together with state pilgrims welfare board officials and other stakeholders piloting the affairs of the pilgrims.

Earlier, the chairman of the state pilgrims welfare board Alhaji Salisu Ado Shinkafi attributes the success of the operation to the effort of the state government.

Salisu Shinkafi however debunked the rumor of over 300 pilgrims rejected accommodation given to them in Makka.

He said, “Some mischievous social media users ignited the rumor with the aim of scuttling the process of 2017 Hajj exercise and our effort but Allah Almighty controlled it.

KATSINA POST reports that the board has so far transported all the state’s pilgrims and the officials from Makka back to the state to mark the end of the 2017 Hajj exercise.
