The management of Umaru Musa Yar’adua University, Katsina (UMYUK) at its 85th regular meeting deliberated and approved 170 JAMB score cut-off marks as requirement for entry into 2017/2018 academic session.
The statement signed by the public relation officer Fatima Sanda Kaita seen by KATSINA POST said “The decision was informed by number of applicants seeking admission into the university”
The statement also stated that “So far fifteen thousand two hundred and twenty four (15, 224) applicants applied for the university as their first choice.”
But, “the approved quotaprovided by the National University Commission (NUC) for UMYUK is two thousand five hundred and seventy seven candidates (2, 577) including direct entry candidates.”
The university further fixed post UTME examination date on 26th and 27th September, 2017 for the candidates who scored 170 and above.
