Hajj: Katsina gov’t gives free food to its 4,930 pilgrims at Arafat, Minna
The Katsina State government has prepared food for its 4,930 pilgrims both at Mina and the Arafat, to enable them to observe their religious obligation today.
This good gesture was disclosed to newsmen in Minna by the state’s Amirul Hajj Alhaji Mannir Yakubu while answering questions from them.
The Amirul-Hajj, Alhaji Mannir Yakubu who also doubles as the state deputy Governor also urged pilgrims to utilise the Arafat Day to pray for peace and stability of the country and its leaders.
Yakubu, said it had become imperative because the Almighty Allah answered prayers of pilgrims on the particular day.
Yakubu said that with Allah’s intervention, the country would have peace and stability necessary for the development of any country.
“I am calling on our pilgrims to pray to Allah to grant our president and our leaders good health and give the country peace and stability during Arafat day,’’ he said.
He said that the government made adequate arrangement for the movement of the pilgrims from Mina to Arafat which would begin from 12 a.m. local time.
He further said that the government prepared food for its 4,930 pilgrims both at Mina and the Arafat, to enable them to observe their religious obligation.
