
Katsina: University dismissed 3 lecturers, 9 students over exam malpractice
The Federal University Dutsinma has dismissed three lecturers and nine students for their involvement in examination malpractices.
Acting Vice Chancellor Armaya’u Bichi who disclosed this to newsmen, said the affected people were found wanting after thorough investigation and they had to leave according to Daily trust.
“This institution has strong stance on examination malpractice,” he asserted.
He said, conversely, over 300 academic and non-academic staff disengaged by the previous administration had been recalled since his assumption in acting capacity after it was discovered that they were dismissed illegally.
He announced that the university and the state government were in talks to convert the multi-billion naira Katsina State Government-owned Shanghai Farm for use of the institution, giving its emphasis on agriculture.
