Katsina state institute of technology and management was ranked the best among the 167 innovative enterprises institutions offering national innovative diploma in Nigeria.
The chairman National Board of Technical Education (NBTE) Dr. Mas’ud Adamu Kazaure disclosed this at the national round table discussion on innovative enterprises institution held at the institute premises in Katsina.
He said “The board have selected one innovative enterprises institute each in the geopolitical zones in the country in which Katsina institute was choose to host the event considering the priority the state government accorded to the institution on infrastructural facilities.”
He revealed that the meeting will device means of actualizing the motive of establishing the institute as well as to gain more acceptability in the country.
He said the students enrolled in the institutions will acquire innovative and employment skills for them to become self-reliant.
In a remark, the secretary to the state government represented by the director cabinet Alhaji Sulaiman Ibrahim Kankia revealed that the state government has pledge to continue supporting the activities of the institutes for it to excel in the field of technology and management among the innovative institute of the world.
