Katsina state house of assembly adopts a motion seeking for the state government to establish school of midwifery in Mani local government.
This was unanimously endorsed by the house after the Honorable member representing the local government in Honorable Aliyu Sabi’u Muduru present the motion on the floor of the house.
While presenting the motion, Rt. Honourable Aliyu Muduru stated that Mani local government is the only local government among its pairs that did not have a tertiary institution.
He then enjoined his colleagues to support the motion as it will greatly help the people within its catchment area to access tertiary education.
While debating on the motion, members representing Danmusa, Baure and Kafur Local government all reiterated the need for the state government to heed to the demand.
The Speaker of the House Rt. Hon. Abubakar Yahaya Kusada then ordered the clerk of the house to convey their resolution to the State governor for necessary action.
