
Katsina gov’t spent N4.8m monthly in payment of 215 midwifery services
Katsina state government is expending N4.8mn monthly in payment of allowances to 215 midwifery services staff deployed across the state as part of measures to enhance the service of comprehensive health centers.

The executive chairman state primary health care development agency Dr. Muawiyya Aliyu revealed this when he paid the supervision and the general monitoring the activities of the comprehensive centers under the agency.
Dr. Muawiyya visited Doro, Kayawa, Yandoma, Dutsi and Mashi comprehensive health centers.
In all the centers visited the chairman took time to inspect Maternity and pharmacy, pediatric and duty roasters to ascertain the punctuality of the staff.
He also assessed the general cleanliness as well as appealing to the staff to be honest, hardworking and punctual for the development of the health centers in the state.
Dr. Muawiyya Aliyu stated that the Aminu Bello Masari led-administration is doing all it best in the limited resources to bring the health services to the door step of the people.
Some of the in charge of the hospital presented some challenges facing the centers which include inadequate staff, matrasses, other hospital materials which he promised to looked into.
