Some of the LGA visited by the officials include Sabuwa, Funtua, Charanchi and Kankia.
The main aim of the visit according to Companion FM Katsina reporter is to ascertain success or otherwise of the programme in the state.
While commending the State government for initiating the programme in the state, some of the farmers stated that the rice took longer time than earlier prescribed for it to mature and ripe.
